When I was a Grad Student for my Ph.D. Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University and about at your stage in the process, I took a class from a fascinating person. He is Anthony Ellis at http://www.has.vcu.edu/phi/philos/Pictures%20of%20faculty/ellis.html or a sample of his work can be found at http://books.google.com/books?id=kdM6zghhtsMC&pg=PA244&lpg=PA244&dq=anthony+ellis+and+moral+philosophy&source=bl&ots=vIIzjECrjM&sig=7EbLvhc89zJIlWyok3_k6Wsd3Oo&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=5&ct=result#PPA243,M1
He was a great teacher. I just thought either you knew of him or you might be interested in knowing of him.
Otherwise, all I can say is, “keep focused on your degree”. That was my big challenge back then.
Good luck. wb

I have heard of Anthony Ellis, but “heard of” is about as familiar as I am with his work. Thanks for stopping by to comment and for the encouragement.
